Our Project

The Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) has been widely used in the aerospace, automobile, transportation, architecture, and sport industries. The increasing use of CFRP has led to an increasing amount of waste being generated, consisting primarily of scraps and end-of-life components. The composite waste has a negative impact on resources conservation and the environment. Thus, the treatment of CFRP waste is becoming an urgent problem. 

A recycling process that is suitable for upscaling into an industrial scale must fulfill different requirements: low energy consumption, low cost, and finally good properties of the reclaimed fibers.

Sasit’ Innovation

We have developed an effective methodology to extract high-quality carbon fibers from waste CFRPs with an eco-efficiency strategy and low energy consumption.
